Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use lock in. By using the service, you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms and authorize the payment methods connected to your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account email, the security of the devices and inboxes you use to access the service, and all activity that occurs through your account.

lock in lets members create place-and-time commitments, define a check-in window, select a penalty ladder, and manually verify attendance during scheduled windows.

The product is intended to enforce a rule that you choose in advance. It is not coaching, emergency monitoring, or a guarantee that a device, network, or location provider will always be available.

Some features require paid access. Paid access may be offered as a recurring subscription, a one-time lifetime access purchase, or another checkout offer presented in the product.

If you start a subscription, you authorize recurring charges for the selected plan until you cancel.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the next renewal. Canceling stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund past subscription charges except where required by law.

If you buy a lifetime access offer, lifetime means product access for this account for as long as lock in continues to offer the covered product features, subject to these Terms. Lifetime access can be revoked or marked inactive after a refund, chargeback, fraud review, or other payment reversal.

We may offer trials, promotions, lifetime tests, or plan changes from time to time. Any additional terms presented at checkout will apply to that offer.

Paid access charges and missed-commitment charges are separate. An active commitment may require both active product access and a chargeable payment method.

By activating or continuing to use a commitment, you authorize Oftring Ventures, LLC and its payment processors to store and use your payment method for recurring subscription charges when applicable and off-session missed-commitment charges that arise from clear misses under the visible ladder attached to your rule.

Your account monthly cap limits the total missed-commitment penalty charges that can be queued in a calendar month. A miss may still be recorded, count toward ladder history, and show the nominal ladder amount even when the cap reduces the actual charge or prevents a charge from being created.

Monthly cap changes made after commitments are active are delayed for 7 days, are not retroactive, and do not alter charges already queued or processed.

You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file. Failed or reversed charges may limit access to the service or future commitment activity until billing is resolved.

lock in may review ambiguous check-in outcomes before a missed-commitment charge is finalized. Members may also have access to appeal or support channels depending on the product surface in use.

Any refund, reversal, forgiveness, or waiver of a paid access fee or missed-commitment charge is discretionary unless otherwise required by law. A review outcome for one incident does not guarantee the same outcome in a later case.

You may not misuse the service, interfere with other users, or attempt to defeat the intended enforcement model.

The service, software, branding, and related content are owned by Oftring Ventures, LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

If you send feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use that feedback to operate, improve, and develop the service.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect location accuracy, or that every reminder, review, or payment event will be delivered without delay or error.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oftring Ventures, LLC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oftring Ventures, LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us through the service during the 12 months before the claim arose or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Oftring Ventures, LLC consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date, post the revised Terms in the service, or provide additional notice where appropriate.
